Pune Airport Conducts Emergency Blackout Drill Tonight

Pune : Pune Airport will conduct a full-scale emergency blackout drill tonight at 8:30 PM, in coordination with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indian Air Force (IAF), and various airlines operating at the airport. The 30-minute drill is a scheduled exercise aimed at testing and enhancing the airportтАЩs emergency preparedness.
During the drill, the entire airport will experience a total blackout, involving a complete shutdown of lighting and power systems. All ground operations, including aircraft servicing and baggage handling, will be temporarily suspended. Incoming flights will be instructed to remain in a holding pattern for 20 to 30 minutes until the drill concludes and clearance to land is provided.
