Wrestler Narsingh Yadav highlights the importance of Sports at Krishna Bakers’ Grand Opening
Pune: Renowned wrestler and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Narsingh Yadav emphasized the growing scope of sports in India while attending the grand opening of Krishna Bakers near Mahalunge-Balewadi Stadium on Sunday, March 17, 2025. Addressing the gathering, Yadav urged local residents to encourage their children to participate in sports, regardless of the discipline.
“The times have changed, and the government is making significant efforts to support athletes. Various facilities are being provided to nurture sports talent,” Yadav stated. He also stressed the importance of proper nutrition in shaping an athlete’s performance. “Good food is essential for better health, which plays a crucial role in sports success,” he added.
While interacting with the media, Yadav clarified that he has no intentions of joining politics. As a DCP in the Maharashtra Police, he expressed gratitude towards senior officials for their cooperation, which allows him to balance both administrative responsibilities and wrestling practice effectively.
Furthermore, he highlighted the government’s initiatives in offering jobs within the sports sector, encouraging parents to recognize the career opportunities available for young athletes. “Sports can open doors to a secure future, and the government supports athletes with various job opportunities. Parents should focus on this aspect while guiding their children,” Yadav remarked.
